On behalf of our client, a reputable corporate and financial services provider, we are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join their in-house legal team.

The Senior Lawyer will provide legal support across the company’s corporate services offering. This includes advising on international structuring, reviewing legal documentation, supporting compliance with regulatory frameworks, and contributing to efficient and compliant service delivery across multiple jurisdictions. The role is client-facing and requires a commercial mindset, attention to detail, and strong cross-border legal experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Advisory – Corporate & Structuring

-Provide legal input on company formation, corporate governance, restructuring, and holding structures.

-Draft and review legal documents such as service agreements, shareholder agreements, powers of attorney, and other client-related documentation.

-Support the legal aspects of shareholder arrangements and group reorganizations under the guidance of senior management.

2. Regulatory & Compliance Support

-Interpret and apply relevant EU and Cyprus legislation (e.g. AML/CFT, DAC6, GDPR) in coordination with the Compliance Department.

-Assist in the drafting and legal review of internal policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

-Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the firm's operations and advise internal teams accordingly.

3. Contract Review & Risk Management

-Review and negotiate commercial contracts and third-party service agreements.

-Flag legal risks in client mandates and propose appropriate mitigations.

-Assist in the handling of client disputes or regulatory inquiries in cooperation with external counsel.

4. Client & Transaction Support

-Provide legal support during client onboarding, particularly in complex or high-value cases.

-Draft structuring notes and legal memos in support of corporate or financial transactions.

-Liaise with client relationship managers to ensure legal accuracy and compliance in client documentation.

5. Collaboration & Team Integration

-Work closely with the client services, compliance, tax, and finance teams to provide timely legal input.

-Coordinate with external legal advisors as needed.

-Participate in knowledge-sharing, internal legal briefings, and training initiatives.

Requirements:

-Law degree and Cyprus Bar qualification.

-5–8 years of experience in corporate law, ideally within a multi-jurisdictional or fiduciary services environment.

-In-depth knowledge of Cyprus company law and familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks.

-Experience advising international clients, including HNWIs and investment structures.

-Excellent command of English (written and spoken); additional languages an advantage.

-Strong analytical and drafting skills, with a practical, business-oriented approach.

    Behavioural Assessment:

    The assessment should take approximately 7 minutes to complete.

    Cognitive Assessment:

    Upon completion of the Behavioural Assessment, you will receive a link to the Cognitive Assessment in your mailbox (please check your spam/junk folder in case you can't find it). This test, which involves answering 50 questions within a 12-minute timeframe, requires focus and a quiet environment. Aim to answer as many questions as accurately as you can.
