Job description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
The successful candidate will oversee and support in the management of the financial operations, lead a team of accountants, and assist with the management reports.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of the company, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
•Manage the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements.
•Manage the company's cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet financial obligations.
•Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns, and keeping up to date with changes in tax laws.
•Collaborate with the CFO and other teams across the organization to develop and maintain the annual budget and forecasting process, ensuring that financial targets are met.
•Assist with the preparation of management reports and presentations.
•Assist with the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
•Provide support to the finance team on special projects as needed.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA certified.
•At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
•Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, VAT, Tax and compliance requirements.
•Advance skills in Microsoft Office.
