Risk Officer

Our client, a Financial Group and award-winning trading provider with multiple offices around the world including London, Larnaca, Beirut, Amman, Dubai, Kuwait, Port Louis, and others is looking to expand their team with the addition of a qualified Risk Officer.

Description:

We are looking for a Risk Officer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possesses a strong understanding of trading risk but also has proficiency in trading platforms such as MT4/MT5, cTrader, and platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Track client trading activity, and risk exposure across different asset classes (forex, indices, commodities, stocks, and cryptocurrencies).

• Assist in setting up and maintaining risk parameters such as leverage limits, and trading restrictions.

• Monitor and analyze the firm’s net positions, identifying potential concentration risks and market impact.

• Detect unusual trading patterns and escalate concerns related to toxic flow, arbitrage strategies, or suspicious activity.

• Assist in preparing daily and periodic risk reports, summarizing key metrics such as exposure, profit/loss, and client profitability.

• Work with the head of the department to analyze and optimize hedging strategies.

• Assist in testing and validating risk management tools, trading platforms, and automated risk control systems.

• Ensure that risk management practices align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.

• Experience in a trading, risk, or dealing role within a CFD brokerage.

• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic VBA is a plus).

• Knowledge of trading platforms such as MT4/MT5, cTrader, or proprietary platforms.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools for risk reporting.
