Head of Acquiring

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Acquiring to lead and expand our merchant e-commerce acquiring business. This role is responsible for driving strategy, growth, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring merchants have seamless and secure payment solutions.

Responsibilities

·       Define and execute the company’s merchant acquiring strategy to grow transaction volumes and revenues.

·       Build and maintain relationships with merchants, partners, and payment networks.

·       Oversee product integration for acquiring services (online gateway,).

·       Ensure compliance with card scheme rules, PCI DSS, AML/KYC, and local regulations.

·       Manage risk and fraud monitoring, including chargeback processes.

·       Own the P&L of the acquiring business line (pricing, fees, profitability).

·       Lead and grow teams across sales, onboarding, operations, and risk.

·       Collaborate with tech, product, and finance to deliver seamless merchant experiences.

Requirements

·       Proven experience in payments, merchant acquiring, or fintech.

·       Strong knowledge of Visa/Mastercard schemes, acquiring models, and regulations.

·       Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and achieve revenue targets.

·       Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks (AML, PCI DSS, PSD2).

·       Excellent commercial and negotiation skills with enterprise clients.

·       Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.

·       Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

·       Strong communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
