Job description

The Group Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing corporate strategies and planning initiatives to achieve business growth targets. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader capable of identifying opportunities, driving market expansion, fostering strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and enhance market presence.

•Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.

•Client Visits: Regularly visit potential and new clients to present the group services, build relationships, and secure new business opportunities.

•Supplier/Provider Agreements: Identify and approach new suppliers and service providers to establish exclusive agreements that enhance the company’s offerings and competitive edge.

•Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders.

•Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and close high-value deals to meet and exceed revenue goals.

•Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide business development teams to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.

•Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and ensure a competitive advantage.

•Networking: Actively participate in industry events and conferences to build connections and expand the company’s visibility in the ship management sector.

•Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

•Reporting: Prepare and present detailed business development reports and performance metrics to senior leadership.

•Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align business strategies and ensure cohesive execution.

•Market Intelligence: Gather insights from client visits and supplier engagements to refine business strategies and identify emerging opportunities.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Shipping, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

•Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or strategy.

•Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry trends and competitive landscapes.

•Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

•Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.

•Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

•Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

•Willingness to travel as required to fulfill role objectives.
