Job description
We are looking for an exceptional Group CFO to lead and elevate the financial function across a fast-growing portfolio of regulated and non-regulated financial services companies. Reporting to the UBO, this is a pivotal executive position that combines strategic vision with operational execution. The Group CFO will oversee group-wide finance, accounting, compliance, and capital planning, ensuring strong governance, sustainable growth, and regulatory resilience across multiple jurisdictions. This role will also spearhead capital strategy, including fundraising, M&A activity, and investor engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and implement the Group’s overall financial strategy, planning, and long-range forecasting. 
- Act as a strategic business partner to the UBO and executive team, aligning financial results with growth ambitions. 
- Provide financial insight on commercial opportunities, market expansion, and product development. 
- Lead financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. 
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory reports. 
- Oversee group audits and maintain robust internal control systems. 
- Safeguard compliance with IFRS or relevant GAAP across multiple entities. 
- Modernize financial processes, reporting systems, and workflows to enhance transparency and agility. 
- Direct group treasury operations, liquidity planning, and efficient allocation of capital. 
- Manage banking relationships and external financing partners. 
- Ensure optimal working capital structures and compliance with financial safeguarding obligations. 
- Develop group-wide cash management strategies to support growth. 
- Oversee financial compliance in regulated environments (e.g., EMI, PSP, crypto, payments). 
- Design financial governance frameworks aligned with evolving international regulations. 
- Serve as a point of contact for regulators, auditors, and external advisors. 
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and operational risks at group level. 
- Build and inspire high-performing finance teams across jurisdictions. 
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. 
- Collaborate with product, operations, and technology functions to strengthen business processes. 
- Deliver board-level reporting, scenario analyses, and financial insights to guide strategic decisions. 
Requirements
- Proven track record as CFO or senior finance leader in regulated financial services (payments, EMI, PSP, or crypto). 
- Experience managing complex, multi-entity, and multi-jurisdictional finance operations. 
- Commercially astute with the ability to link financial insights to business strategy. 
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills. 
- Hands-on, solutions-driven approach suited to entrepreneurial, high-growth environments. 
- Prior experience working with founders/UBOs and boards is highly desirable.
