Financial Controller

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
•Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
•Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and provide recommendations to management.
•Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for financial activities.
•Manage cash flow, monitor banking activities, and develop strategies to optimize cash resources.
•Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual audit process.
•Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
•Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
•Stay up to date with financial legislation, regulations, and best practices.
•Any other tasks that may arise, as requested by the CFO, ensuring adaptability and a proactive approach.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA certified.

•3 – 5 years of working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.

•Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.

•Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
