Job description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of the organization. This role involves the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting data, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations. The Accounting Manager will also lead the monthly closing process, reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare financial statements for management review. Additionally, this position requires close collaboration with auditors during annual audits and the preparation of the annual budget.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the overall accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate accounting data and reports in a timely manner.
  • Generate monthly management accounts and provide financial statements for management review.
  • Handle the monthly closing process and ensure timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Review and ensure the Year-End Process is executed correctly and on schedule.
  • Manage tax and VAT compliance, ensuring all obligations are met.
  • Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of payroll and related reporting.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective solutions to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the Group’s auditors during annual audits to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Review accounts payable processes and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Prepare the annual budget and manage cash flow to ensure the organization's financial health.
  • Report directly to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations on financial matters.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred
  • Minimum of  3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with tax compliance and payroll management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
