Accountant (Maritime)

A leading and rapidly expanding transportation company specializing in high-value investments in shipping, intermodal, aviation, and rail is looking to hire an Accountant. We welcome applicants with various levels of relevant experience. The successful candidate will become part of a diverse and multi-jurisdictional accounting and finance team supporting a growing ship-owning group.

We are looking for candidates with experience in accounting and finance, preferably with a background in Audit, Shipping, and/or transportation, or a strong willingness to learn the industry. The new team member will join a dynamic team and must be a collaborative individual open to learning and capable of delivering top-quality work in a fast-paced, international environment. Excellent English communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential for this role. The position is based in Limassol, Cyprus, and reports to the group's Accounting Manager, with additional guidance from senior stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills in English, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities, with experience interacting with senior management.

• Strong financial and accounting background, with maritime industry experience preferred.

• Pursuing or willing to pursue ACA, ACCA, C.P.A., or equivalent Chartered Accountant certification.

• Proven high performance in education or work.

• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with a willingness to learn and work with multiple GAAPs.

• Proactive, reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, meeting deadlines with quality results.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and feedback.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptable to new technologies.

• Capable of working independently and in teams, building long-term relationships.
